EDI Releases Point in Time Security Reference Feed
Exchange Data International (EDI), a provider of global security corporate actions, pricing and reference data services, has released a security reference file feed called PIT (Point In Time). The feed allows clients to track, at a listing level, changes to securities coding and other key security reference data points at any point in time. The point in time’s start and end dates use public domain effective date from the event that triggered the change. This means historical reference data returned by query will represent the actual values that markets would have recorded on the specified search date.
Moody’s Acquires Climate Data Specialist
Moody’s Corporation has acquired a majority stake in Berkeley, CA-based Four Twenty Seven, a provider of provider of data, intelligence, and analysis related to physical climate risks, as part of its wider strategy to develop transparent and consistent standards for evaluating ESG risk. The new acquisition will operate under its existing brand as an affiliate of Moody’s Investors Service. The deal follows Moody’s recent acquisition of Vigeo Eiris, a provider of ESG research, data, and assessments.
Moody’s Acquires RiskFirst
Moody’s Corporation has acquired RiskFirst, a provider of risk analytic solutions for the assetmanagement and pension fund communities. The acquisition positions Moody’s Analytics to extend its range of risk solutions to the institutional buy-side.
RiskFirst’s PFaroe platform provides a risk solution for US and UK defined benefit pension markets, covering over 3,000 plans and more than $1.4 trillion in assets. RiskFirst also offers solutions for the institutional investment market, including endowments, foundations and asset managers.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. RiskFirst generated £16.5 million of revenue in 2018.
Acuris Partners with SILO Compliance for AML Data Drive
Acuris Risk Intelligence, a provider of data intelligence around anti-money laundering, anti-corruption and cyber security, has joined forces with due diligence management specialist SILIO Compliance System to enhance data capabilities. The partnership will give SILO Compliance users access to the Acuris Risk Intelligence dataset KYC6, including fraud and cybersecurity content, through an online portal that provides compliance teams with capabilities including search, ongoing monitoring, sanctions and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reports.
“The integration of Acuris into the SILO platform further serves our customer’s needs for more automation and streamlining of their compliance processes,” said Kimberly Smith, co-founder of SILO Compliance.
Synechron Data Science Launches New LIBOR Solution
London-based Synechron has launched a LIBOR accelerator using data science to address thechallenges of financial sector benchmarking. The accelerator for LIBOR Impact Analysis enables financial institutions to identify and quantify their LIBOR exposure at either a contract level or across all contracts within an institution. Thesolution leverages Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and three levels of Natural Language Processing (NLP) to identify and quantify LIBOR exposure at the contract level, or across all contracts within an institution.It then allows contracts to be revalued using alternative rates and valuation models for a significant reduction of manual LIBOR impact assessments.
Cbus Chooses Matrix for Data Management
Cbus, Australia’s largest superannuation fund for the building, construction and allied industries, has chosen Matrix Solutions to provide investment management software to aggregate and analyze investment data from a wide variety of sources in order to improve decision making and reduce operational risks. GoldenSource Makes Luxoft a Preferred Implementation Partner
GoldenSource and Luxoft, a digital strategy and software engineering firm, have formed a global alliance that makes Luxoft a preferred implementation and business development partner for connecting banks, brokers, investment managers and capital markets service providers with the GoldenSource enterprise data management (EDM) platform. The alliance follows Luxoft and Golden Source’s success in delivering data management transformation projects at several global organisations and will target issues including SFTR and FRTB compliance, and Libor transition.

S&P Global Market Intelligence Adds Trucost Environmental Data to Xpressfeed
Responding to market demand for unique and differentiated data, S&P Global Market Intelligence has released Trucost environmental data through its data feed platform Xpressfeed. Trucost, part of S&P Global, is a provider of carbon and environmental data and risk analysis. The environmental data is the first of several planned initiatives and releases from Market Intelligence to deliver Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data solutions and capabilities from its delivery platforms.
Dion Global Releases Corporate Actions Solution
Dion Global Solutions has released a corporate actions solution. Already live with two pilot customers, the solution is designed to make corporate actions processing cost effective for the smallest industry participants and scalable for the largest. It aims to decrease manual processing by increasing automation, and reduce risk by ensuring no event is missed or acted on erroneously. Other functionality includes management of notifications from a single source or multiple sources, diarisation of events and related tasks, digital dissemination of event information and tasks to clients and internal parties, and MiFID II reporting of corporate action transactions.
