Multifonds, a leader in single-platform multi-jurisdictional investment fund software, has hired Chee Seng Lok as business development manager, and Andy Chua as regional product manager, bolstering its Asian division.

Based in Singapore, they will be working together with Sandra Puah who heads the Multifonds professional services team in Asia. Chee Seng and Andy’s focus will be to further expand Multifonds’ business in Asia with its scalable, multi-jurisdictional, single platform, Multifonds is well placed to benefit from the growing demand for efficient fund administration software in the region.

Oded Weiss, CEO at Multifonds, said: “We are excited to have Chee Seng and Andy on board. They are great additions to the Multifonds team and bring invaluable experience of the Asian market to the company that will help us continue to build a strong presence in this region. The hires follow the successful roll-out of our software in Citi’s and HSBC’s offices across Asia.”

Chee Seng joins from BNP Paribas Securities Services where he was a director and product head for Asian fund services. Prior to this he worked for Standard Chartered Bank for three years, as its global product head for fund accounting.

Andy was previously the global operation head for fund services at Standard Chartered Bank where he oversaw the roll out of three new platforms, namely fund accounting, alternative investment transfer agency and retail transfer agency. Andy has also gained experience working for Citibank in the fund services division.

Chee Seng commented: “I am looking forward to working with the team at Multifonds. There are some interesting opportunities in Asia at the moment, as fund administrators and custodians look for efficient software to make their businesses more streamlined and profitable. Multifonds’ products are unique in that they are flexible and usable in multiple jurisdictions, making cross-border transactions easier to administer in our increasingly globalised world.”

Andy said: “Multifonds is a fantastic platform for the funds services industry and it is an exciting time to be joining them. Asia is a fast growing market and the product’s single-platform, multi-currency and multi-lingual abilities mean that it is positioned to do well in the east.”

Chee Seng and Andy will both be attending the ITAS conference in Hong Kong (November 8-9 November 2011), the first day of which will be chaired by Multifonds’ global head of transfer agency, Keith Hale.
