ITRS Adds Integrations to Monitor Big Data Platforms, Container Technologies to Follow

ITRS has added a set of six integrations to its Geneos solution that allow users to monitor open source, big data technologies – including Kafka, Hadoop, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra and Elasticsearch – and troubleshoot, analyse and optimise the performance of applications running on each of these big data stacks.

The company is also working on the integration of Geneos with container technologies that are becoming popular with banks as a means of powering applications. These integrations will allow users to monitor the real-time performance of containers and orchestration tools.

The Geneos integrations with big data platforms allow users to dig deeper into how the individual data technologies are performing in real time and investigate how they are impacting the overall health of applications.

Mark Loader, head of product management at ITRS, says: “Enterprises in financial services are increasingly running mission critical applications on big data platforms, from data ingestion to analysis. While most firms have successfully implemented these applications, what they lack is clear insight into how they are performing. This is where value becomes a risk. Without the right monitoring systems in place, firms cannot maximise value from their big data investments. With our new integrations, companies can get full visibility into their data-driven applications.”
