Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. announced today that its Investor Communication Solutions business in Canada has launched its informational micro-site, “Charting the Course.”

This new web site is yet another example of Broadridge’s continued commitment to education and the exchange of balanced information within the capital markets community.

The site features an extensive collection of regulatory content from both Canada and the U.S. and includes contributions from a variety of industry participants. It also presents current and relevant proxy statistics, solution information and industry news.

“We have always encouraged dialogue among industry participants. This site is intended to provide a platform for the exchange of balanced, informed and relevant information between corporate issuers, regulators and investor groups,” said Patricia Rosch, President, Investor Communication Solutions, Canada, Broadridge. “We participate actively in these very important discussions, providing the benefits of our experience and expertise. Charting the Course is a way of making these discussions more inclusive.”

“We value and invest heavily in continuous improvement, particularly in technological solutions that support the principles of efficiency, equity and engagement in the proxy process,” said Donna Bristow, Vice President, Client Management & Strategic Product Development, Investor Communication Solutions, Canada, Broadridge. “This micro-site is another example of the investments we are making on behalf of our clients and the industry as a whole.”

The launch of the micro-site comes in the midst of active discussions concerning the proxy system in Canada and the U.S.. Regulators on both sides of the border are seeking comment from participants in the system in order to better understand the issues it faces.

Ms. Rosch explained, “We believe that any review of the proxy system must be conducted based on a solid foundation of factual and balanced information. We are very excited that the Charting the Course web site will extend access to critical quantitative data. This is the best way to understand the challenges that should be addressed and opportunities to enhance the existing process.”
