Asset Control Enhances Data Coverage and Flexibility with Thomson Reuters Content

Asset Control, provider of financial data management solutions and services, has expanded the data coverage of its AC Plus data management solution with the addition of request-based content from Thomson Reuters DataScope Select, the strategic data delivery platform for non-streaming, cross-asset, global content. By accessing Thomson Reuters static content through AC Plus, customers will be able to improve accurate decision making, productivity, and cost controls around data acquisition across asset classes.

The new feed handler provides AC Plus customers with a broad universe of intra-day and end-of-day reference data, market and evaluated pricing, report retrieval and processing, giving users the ability to request data for instruments as they are needed. AC Plus supports the capture and storage of all raw data, as well as normalization and consolidation of the data into the AC Plus data model. Thomson Reuters DataScope Select offers cost transparency by providing usage details on the amount and types of data being extracted.

Phil Lynch, Asset Control’s president and chief executive officer, said, “Today’s financial institutions need cross-asset data platforms that can flexibly incorporate new data sources to support changing business requirements, achieve faster time to market, and increase revenues while reducing costs. With the addition of the Thomson Reuters DataScope Select feed handler, customers have access to wider data coverage on demand, transparent pricing for hard to price instruments, and the ability to tailor their data usage to custom data needs.”

AC Plus assists clients with acquisition, validation, enrichment and distribution of financial data and provides a series of supported and maintained feed handlers. It also provides a flexible system of building validation and enrichment roles, a highly tunable workflow and desktop to support data management operations, and a sophisticated mechanism for distributing data to the users that need it.
