DSB Combines UPI and OTC ISIN Data in User Acceptance Testing Environment

Subscribe to our newsletter

The Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB) has extended Unique Product Identifier (UPI) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) into the OTC ISIN UAT environment, enabling OTC ISIN users to start testing combined OTC ISIN and UPI workflows. Users of the OTC ISIN UAT environment can develop and test changes to systems to incorporate the UPI as part of the OTC ISIN record ahead of UPI production release on 16 October 2023.

As part of the release, a process has commenced to update existing OTC ISIN test records in the UAT environment with their parent UPI. Users have the opportunity to consume the updates from this process for testing purposes. The DSB will also carry out the UPI pre-population process when the UPI service moves into production in October.

Emma Kalliomaki, managing director of ANNA and the DSB, says: “Given reporting requirements in the EU and UK, which require reporting of the OTC ISIN or UPI dependent on scope, the availability of combined UPI and OTC ISIN data in UAT should help firms get ready for compliance dates.”
