London Stock Exchange to Use Telekurs Data for Sedol Expansion

The London Stock Exchange has signed up to receive international securities data from Telekurs Financial in support of the exchange’s impending expansion of its Sedol security identifier set. The deal aims to close gaps in the exchange’s coverage as it brings the newly expanded Sedol to market next month, in the first step in establishing a business in reference data. The LSE will receive the data through Telekurs’ Valordata Feed (VDF). By coincidence, Telekurs is the official numbering agency for Switzerland, with responsibility for allocating identifiers for Swiss securities.
