The Johannesburg Securities Exchange (JSE) has awarded Accenture a two-year contract to consolidate its reference data architecture onto a new platform. The project will also involve the South African exchange’s information reporting, clearing, accounting and administration systems. The new platform will be built using available technology products and custom applications. The deal comes as the exchange signs a seven-year IT outsourcing contract with Accenture covering a broad range of functions including derivatives trading, equities and derivatives clearing, and regulation.
